Crouched the frame of spine on pillows

Rubbing thumbs we stare above,

Patiently cooing for the future

of flutter birds and zaftig Spring buds.

Greying slush find ceaseless oceans

Frosted over in lagging time,

Like a season of loneliness staggers

Rots the vibrant, luscious vines.

And with all things comes an end of pain,

When we wait softly for dawn's new rays.
