I flicker

He flickers too

We stand alone in a dark, cold hallway

Just flickering, flickering, like a dance

Casting long shadows along the walls, flicker

Monsters lurking within the darkness, flicker

Creeping closer and closer towards us, flicker

Trying, trying, to put out the flickering lights

I glow

He glows too

We glow together

The monsters that lurked dissipated along with the darkness

Now two lights, now connected, no longer flickering

No longer even glowing, but instead shining brightly in the long, lonesome hallway

Just the two of us in this bright, quiet hallway

Our souls glow, brighter and brighter

We will keep getting even brighter

And the world flickers back

Nicely done. The repetition of words works excellently in this poem.

Miss Midnight

I have to quote Hully and say that I also liked the repetitiveness of the words. Oh, Love, how beautiful and strong, able to wither the storm and monsters of the dark.
Lovely Poem!
