William Nylander scored two goals and had an assist in last night's game.


Believe it or not, but the Toronto Maple Leafs somehow managed to defeat the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-3 last night.  The first place team, (Tampa), of the Eastern Conference.

William Nylander started things off for the Leafs by scoring the first two goals of the game.

Jake gardiner made it 3-0 Leafs at 11:36 of the second period.

It seemed as if the Leafs were in control.

The Lightning, however, started their comeback when Alex Killorn scored at 15:59 of the second period.

Just 58 seconds into the third period, Nikita Kucherov closed the gap to 3-2.

Just 20 seconds later, Yanni Gourde tied the game 3-3.

James Van Riemsdyk put the Leafs ahead for good, scoring at 4:37 of the, (third), period.

Nylander ended the night with three points.  His teammate, Auston Matthews, had three assists.

Leaf's goalie, Frederik Andersen stopped 31 shots.

Both Killorn and Kucherov had two points last night.

Toronto hosts the Columbus Blue Jackets tomorrow night.
