This was a song I wrote in a bluegrass band. I wish I could post the music with it.

When the Ghosts Come Around

When Donkey Lady screams in the cold dark fields,

And black ice is hard on the ground,

And there's nobody else in the world but me,

That's when the ghosts come around.

That's when the ghosts come around.

I call them ghosts but I don't know why,

I don't really know what they are.

They tap on the roof and rattle my locks,

And drink from my whiskey jar.

They drink from my whiskey jar.

When dogs huddle under the front porch steps,

And the leaves rattle over the ground,

And I'm all alone in a cold dark world,

That's when the ghosts come around.

That's when the ghosts come around.

It was my best fiddle intro ever. Played it on a viola for a dark sound. Sort of a spooky little riff.
