I see the night in which we bask under sterling stars

Captivated by the mystic moon

A frost on the air as the sky is open

It is so clear in mind that I feel the chill and smell the scent on the air

I imagine we found our way here through a thicket of ferns

Battling against the forces of nature as the ground tries to swallow us up

Scampering like hares as the other world taunts us

I can feel your breath on me every time a breeze catches through my hair

I want to feel you as I feel every other element of this world

But for now you are not of this world,

A ghost, a wisp a mere thought or memory I am not sure,

The longing for another body, your warmth against my skin

For that the wind can bluster all it wants, it would be worth while

It would be worth the wait, I keep a form in mind,

Your face, the breadth of your shoulders, eyes that glitter like wildfire

When your on my mind I am consumed entirely as if within a seance

You may as well be dead for all the emptiness I feel

If only I could be filled, but when I reflect on an empty nights sky, the stars so far away and the cold solitude I cannot think of something more beautiful in that time
