I hear my skin, I see my screams,

Watch my eyes fray at the seams

As windows talk of outside schemes.

Your nightmares are my waking dreams.

One night my room became a mass

Of shapeless shades with no contrast

'Til I saw a boy behind the glass:

"Hello, myself, we meet at last!"

The boyish reflection then replied,

“Have you seen where Dark Things lie?”

I smiled back, looked in his eyes,

“Yes, between yourself and I.”

“I've seen them squirm from out of view,

Agonized by shadows true.

I know the pain they suffer through:

These whispers make my brain itch too!”

I laughed, he laughed- the Things as well,

Twisting along deranged death knells.

Until, at last, Oblivion fell

And I bid myself a fond farewell.
