The significance of why angels or stars are put on the top of Christmas trees?

This is my article of why angels or stars are put on the top of Christmas trees.
Every year around the end of November and the beginning of December we are all decorating our Christmas trees (plastic or natural) with flashy lights and brightly coloured decorations which are done as a contrast. For example, red and gold, white and silver, blue and silver, pink and purple etc. But then once the whole tree is finally decorated what do you put on top of the tree, an angel or a star? Last Christmas in my household our outside Christmas tree had a gold star, and our indoor tree had a red and gold angel.
There’s a story about the Christmas angel and why they’re put on top of Christmas trees. Santa Claus aka Father Christmas was delivering Christmas trees and unfortunately his sleigh broke down and he then asked the Christmas angels to help him deliver the Christmas trees and they did. After all the Christmas trees had been delivered there was one left over and he put the angel on top of the Christmas tree to show much he appreciated the angels’ help.
I have no idea why stars are put on top of Christmas trees. I believe it comes from the Christmas nativity story of when Jesus Christ was born. As the angels sent out a star to the shepherds to indicate where Jesus was being born as well as the three wise men. It was high up in the night sky shining brightly showing them the way of where Jesus’ birth place was. That’s why I think stars are put on top of Christmas trees.
