Tradition dictates that each book bear its dedication. The times and these tales’ subject matter demand a malediction. God’s curse, then, upon any person prouder of what they were born than of what they do. May this hold for male or female, black or white, queer or straight. These and any of this day’s one thousand and one other particularist nuances of gender and agenda. Since we are each unique, the politics of identity leads only to spiteful chaos. So, again, Heaven’s curse on the fomenters and fermenters of this putrid brew.

...and, it were churlish to omit at least a hint of benediction. Heaven’s blessing upon any individual wise enough to turn and repent. Dixi.
