An Invitation Made.

An invitation was delivered, hospitality extended,

maybe some kind of chance to see some broken fences mended.

At least that’s what you’re thinking, but with you I toy,

and you were just so willing to fall in to my little ploy.

It’s like a crazy game of chess where each will make a move,

but your pieces seem to judder while mine are moving smooth;

I offered you an olive branch and when you made a grasp

I just pulled it smartly from your reach and put back on my mask.

My little ploy, it worked so well, made me seem quite cool,

while you, you’ve just been jilted and are looking quite the fool.

I’m back to making threats of war, and the insults will fly too;

my country might be a smaller size but we’re not afraid of you.

Send out all your warships, your troops, declare a war;

for me, I have my rocket and I’m sure it’s gonna score.
