hello; It’s Valentines Week, the time of year when we become Love focused for a bit. Some people feel sad during this time if romance isn’t in the picture.

That’s unfortunate and it seems far more productive to focus on just upping our love game in general.

Lately I’ve been writing and speaking about the art of noticing. I’ve declared that in my new life part of my job description now is be a noticer.

I started with creation. I noted that the sun rises and sets daily and maybe I should just watch and notice that more. Then I realized all of creation is filled with beautiful and stunning things
worth noting. I read somewhere that when we pause notice any part of creation it is as if we are worshipping God.

In a devotional praying previous two months, Dr Apostle Gitwaza once said that The prophet Isaiah made people look up at the heavens in order to use their imagination properly. If we are children
of God, we have a tremendous treasure in nature and will realize that it is holy and sacred.

We will see God reaching out to us in every wind that blows, every sunrise and sunset, every cloud in the sky, every flower that blooms, and every leaf that fades. My Utmost for His Highest
Spiritual people are called to see with imagination what cannot quite be seen. What if nature is infused with God’s unseen presence and signs? What if our job was simply to notice? I imagine the
call to notice extends to other living creatures as well. When my dog wants a pet she rolls onto her back, hoping I’ll notice. People crave being noticed and seen. Jesus was particularly good at
seeing people.

Maya Angelou once said, Your eyes should light up when your child enters the room . I wonder what would happen if our eyes lit up when anyone entered the room? I see you sunrise, sky, flower and
tree. I see you daughter, son, spouse and grandchild. I see you, dog needing a pet and hungry family struggling to make ends meet. I see you person sitting alone or clenching your teeth in the
grocery store line. I see you person with hands and plate full. Love doesn’t have to be overwhelming. It begins with noticing. It also let you to know what's this life and inspire those are tired
in this journey.

Once upon a time a daughter complained to her father that her life was miserable and that she didn’t know how she was going to make it.

She was tired of fighting and struggling all the time.

It seemed just as one problem was solved, another one soon followed.

Her father, a chef, took her to the kitchen. He filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Once the three pots began to boil, he placed potatoes in one pot, eggs in the second
pot, and ground coffee beans in the third pot.

He then let them sit and boil, without saying a word to his daughter. The daughter, moaned and impatiently waited, wondering what he was doing. After twenty minutes he turned off the burners. He
took the potatoes out of the pot and placed them in a bowl.

He pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. He then ladled the coffee out and placed it in a cup. Turning to her he asked.

“Daughter, what do you see?”

“Potatoes, eggs, and coffee,” she hastily replied.

“Look closer,” he said, “and touch the potatoes.”

She did and noted that they were soft.

He then asked her to take an egg and break it.

After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard-boiled egg.

Finally, he asked her to sip the coffee. Its rich aroma brought a smile to her face.

“Father, what does this mean?” she asked.

He then explained that the potatoes, the eggs and coffee beans had each faced the same adversity– the boiling water.

However, each one reacted differently.

The potato went in strong, hard, and unrelenting, but in boiling water, it became soft and weak.

The egg was fragile, with the thin outer shell protecting its liquid interior until it was put in the boiling water.

Then the inside of the egg became hard.

However, the ground coffee beans were unique. After they were exposed to the boiling water, they changed the water and created something new.

Which are you? When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a potato, an egg, or a coffee bean? “ Maman Fred, my mother told me that "In life, things happen around us, things
happen to us, but the only thing that truly matters is what happens within us"

My friend, I lived and I am still living in different life hardships but by taking a pen and paper or my old Techno smartphone and noticing all things are around I dare to always putting my smile

When you grow up in society faced violence especially Genocide, you often rely on your imagination to survive, in turn it develops your creativity. In my case, I can see how my imagination has lead
me to places I was not destined for, whether it is moving to California from Rwanda, becoming a writer, starting an atypical company. On the flip side, sometimes I get caught up in fantasy, and
miss the real person in front of me, or the truth about situation

And when I notice the bad life I mean, it gives me a common conclusion that Life, peace and love maybe is enough but that's still my wonder not an answer..

I am black, i am Rwandan especially an African, many people believe we don't think, we are thoughtless and even if the advises or books , the wise among us I can write will waiting another ones to
prove that's a real wisdom. That shameful phenomena real made mad not for you, them or someone else but for me, I am learning how I can then screaming then maybe everyone can hear my noise within
inside me, which is always noticing my strength and weaknesses, i can yell. But it won't stop the voices in my head.

I can cry and be called weak, But i noticed that I'm the strongest person. By noticing what I've been through. I am strong and i need to believe that more. You are strong also, just believe and

Don't worry about whats already happened, focus on whats happening now, I believe tomorrow Africans will be known for their strength not their weaknesses, I am proud that young ones are starting to
get the role models to feel proud of.

like we even now have Black Panther superhero be ready to rise your Wakanda ( Africa)

Love is the strongest feeling as people say, but I say happiness finds you more then love could ever find you.

Be happy and stay strong!!! I wrote due to my noticing now, and is going to be posted without edit, don't blame me for that just blame me for not noticing.

Dedicated to ma'am, Dr Apotre Gitwaza Paul, Dr Omekongo Dibinga,Imfuranzima art peace group and Uwera Wivine for their Motivation, and you who is leading this piece.
