The SCP Foundation

By Elijah Staley

The SCP Foundation has been around for over 100 years, but the date of its creation is classified to anyone but the administrator. The Founder’s identity is unknown other than the name he was given, “The Administrator”. The Foundation is of course a foundation, that keeps unknown artifacts and life forms that are harmful to the world. There are over 3000 artifacts and life forms. They are also known as, “SCP”. SCP Stands for, “SECURE CONTAIN PROTECT”. The Foundation Secures these SCPs with one of the best security in the entire world. The Foundation Contains these SCPs from the world to not bring Chaos and eventually Doomsday. And finally they Protect these SCPs to research, study, and experiment on them. There are 3 types of SCPs, Safe, Euclid and Keter. Safe SCPs are mostly artifacts, only under 100 SCP life forms are safe. Euclid SCPs are mixed of artifacts and life forms. The Euclid SCPs are only dangerous if interacted with. And finally Keter. Keter SCPs are the most dangerous. The majority of SCPs are Keter. Keter SCPs is the reason why the Foundation exists. Almost all Keter SCPs are life forms. Safe, Euclid, and Keter are called, “Object Classes”. The way the Foundation experiments on the SCPs is using text subjects. These test subjects are known as, “Class D”. There are Class D and Class E. Class Ds or “The Ds” are people with a criminal record that are picked off by the foundation. The Ds stay in the foundation for 12 months only unless a Class D wants to be made a Class E. Class Es are not criminals, they are test subjects that work for the foundation for as long as they want. Most Class Es started as Class D and had a criminal record before they were made a Class E. Class D are the life form test subjects, only Class Ds are tested on life forms. Now Class E are only tested on artifacts. The reason why there are Classes of test subjects divided into 2 groups for Life forms and Artifacts is because, some SCPs mess with the brain, and some mess with the body. Class Ds have to have the strength and energy to withstand the SCPs attempting to take over the brain or body. Class Es have to withstand and resist the SCPs that attempt to take over the brain or body. Life forms and Artifacts have different abilities. Some SCPs are restricted to test subjects and researchers at all costs depending on their object class. There 6 different level access. Level 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and Omni. All levels are put onto keycards. Level 1 keycard is for researchers that are still in training. Level 2 keycard is for average researchers. Level 3 keycard is for security and highest rank researchers. Level 4 keycard is for the MTF, and NTF soldiers. Level 5 keycard is for the administrators comrades. And finally Omni keycard is restricted to administrator only. MTF Soldiers stands for, “Mobile Task Force”. They have a base outside the foundation. They enter the facility in case any dangerous SCP breaks containment. Mobile Task Force are mainly for SCP re-containment. NTF Soldiers stands for, “Nine Tailed Fox”. Their main purpose is combat. Any human hostiles attempting to breach SCPs containment or escourt Class Ds to the exits and help them escape. The Enemies of the Foundation are, Chaos Insurgency, and Serpents Hand. Chaos Insurgency or “CI” are criminals that help Class Ds escape the facility if a SCP Containment Breach drill is in progress or when a real SCP Containment Breach happens. The CI dress as MTF or NTF soldiers. Most of the time they dress as MTF. Now the Serpent's Hand is some of the reasons why SCPs Breach Containment. But they don’t do it all the time, only a few times. But their main purpose is to break SCPs out of containment. Now no one really knows if the SCP Foundation is real or not. Many people have researched on the foundation and never came to a final answer whether it is real or fake. But right now things are better left unspoken to keep humanity on its thread. There are still many SCPs left to be contained. Some are artifacts, some are life forms. The most dangerous SCP that is currently being contained is, SCP-682. SCP-682 or, “Hard to Destroy Reptile” is a large reptile with that the foundation has been attempting to destroy. SCP-682 is kept in a hydrochloric acid containment chamber in order to keep it healthy and alive. During many interviews SCP-682 has said that it hates all life. If and when SCP-682 is in rage, the staff must bring SCP-999 to SCP-682 as quick as possible to calm it down. SCP-999 is known as, “The Tickle Monster” SCP-999 calms down SCP-682 by tickling it until it is not in rage. SCP-682 seems to have a relationship with SCP-079, “Old AI”. SCP-079 is a computer that is in control of parts of the facility. SCP-682 is rather fond of SCP-079 because SCP-682 has been wanting SCP-079 to open its doors and let it escape. SCP-682 has breached containment multiple times, and all have failed. The last time it attempted to escape it was almost successful. SCP-682’s chamber has the most security. SCP-079 also has extreme security. A level 5 is only permitted to enter SCP-079’s chamber unless given permission by the administrator. And only the Administrator is permitted to enter SCP-682’s chamber, but still extremely risky and dangerous, so the administrator has never in his life entered SCP-682’s chamber as it would end in nothing more and nothing less than death. Now the most safe SCP is SCP-999, “The Tickle Monster”. Only a level 1 staff is permitted to enter SCP-999’s chamber. SCP-999 is given access to roam the facility and explore, but must have level 2 permission. SCP-999 has the mind of a dog. It explores everywhere and smells and eats. And mostly tickles everything. SCP-999 is made of a living smooth orange slime substance. But SCP-999 must be watched by a level 1 staff to make sure SCP-999 does to go in range of SCP-682, SCP-999 is only permitted to go in range or enter SCP-682’s chamber if SCP-682 is in raged. While SCP-682 is in rage, it mostly hits the wall with the top of its head to try to break it. SCP-999 must always be escorted to SCP-682 to calm it down as quickly as possible. If SCP-999 is getting distracted by other objects and SCPs, SCP-999 must be picked up by a level 2 staff and must be taken to SCP-682. It is not easy for a level 2 staff to pick up SCP-999 if necessary for multiple reasons, when touching SCP-999 you feel tickles around the part of your body touching SCP-999, and SCP-999 is extremely flexible and slippery, and can slip through almost any tiny crack. There has been many problems with SCP-999 when permitted to roam the facility. Many staff have reported finding SCP-999 in a vent and crawling inside. It is semi-difficult to bring SCP-999 back down safely, but no incidents happened with SCP-999. SCP-682 on the other hand has had many incidents. Most are doing interviews and a level 4 staff holding a mic to SCP-682’s mouth and eventually being eaten. There have only been a few incidents with SCP-079. One of them is SCP-079 locking his containment chamber doors, and releasing toxic gas into the room killing any test subjects or staff within the room with him. SCP-079 is not affected by this gas, but gets shut down for a few hours. The gas is used as a solution to keep SCP-079 from abusing his abilities. All personnel must not be inside the room with 079 while gas is being released. No gas mask can withstand the gas. And finally the last 2 points about the SCP Foundation, the life forms and artifacts are classified to levels lower than level 1 staff. The SCP Foundation has a game based off it called, “SCP Containment Breach”. And is having a remake called, “SCP Containment Breach Unity Remake”.
