Tyler Bozak was a hero again in last night's shoot out.


To say that the Toronto Maple Leafs were lucky last night is a bit of an understatement.

The Leafs did not play good at all against the New York Islanders.

The Islanders went up quickly 2-0 in the first period with goals by Ryan Pulock and Mathew Barzal.

Barzal ended up getting three points last night.

Toronto finally got on the scoreboard at 17:39 of the first period.  Mitch Marner scored the goal

There was no scoring second period, but Toronto out shot the Isles. 10-7.

Just 1:28 of the third period, Morgan Rielly tied the game up 2-2.

Almost two minutes later, Jordan Eberle put the Islanders ahead again.

Auston Matthews scored the tying goal at 16:31.

Nothing happened in overtime.  The game went to a shoot-out.

Tyler Bozak scored the winning goal in the shoot out and the Leafs won the game 4-3.

Leaf's goalie, Frederik Andersen stopped 32 shots last night.

Leaf's host the Boston Bruins tomorrow night.
