You’re awake?

It’s so good you are.

Last we spake

We were betwixt cold stars.

Time and cobwebs spun

While in dreams you sought to run:

Now here’s your kingdom come.

Take a look,

Do you see it clear?

Don’t be shook

They’re only memories here.

These corpses on the floor

Are echoes ever more

From your trespass through the Door.

Sure, at first

A nightmare, this seems;

A just curse

For all those poisoned dreams.

I assure no such thing.

This land is yours, gilded king:

So sayeth Your Starving Wings.
