Rick Nash is now a Boston Bruin.
We are now just hours away from the NHL's Trade Deadline and the Boston Bruins were quite busy today.
First, the Bruins have acquired Rick Nash from the New York Rangers in a huge blockbuster trade.
Going back to the Rangers are prospect defenseman, Ryan Lindgren, Ryan Spooner, and Matt Beleskey.
The Rangers also get a 2018 first round draft pick and 2019 seventh round draft pick.
Nash has played the last six seasons with the Rangers where he tallied up 252 points after playing 375 games.
Nash's eight-year, $7.8 million contract expires in the offseason.
The Bruins also signed Brian Gionta to a one-year, $700,000 U.S. contract.
Gionta played the last three seasons with the Buffalo Sabres where he was the captain.
Gionta also wore the "C" for the Montreal Canadiens and won the Stanley Cup in 2003 with the New Jersey Devils.
Finally, the Ottawa Senators have placed Alex Burrows on waivers.
