I was a bouquet of sunflowers Happiness radiated off of my aura Petals softer than a mother's love Soft enough to be my soul's core . You had poetic lips You stole an angels voice and spoke melodies of bliss I never saw your claws or pretty looking demon horns I never saw your tongue slithering, sleek, sly, slim like a snakes I never saw these things until it was too late . The promises you made A love we shared The future, the present, everything was fake . Delicate and Fragile Too naïve and Trusting It wasn't true, my soulmate, I haven't then found him . But I found bizarre things a mirror filled with horrors A reflection of me You dug holes into my petals, my soul You sank venom down my stems, My temple bled red The poison ran deep I felt my roots decease in unease . Now Venus lays dead . I lost myself . My godliness, tainted I await a resurrection to rise like Aurora And soar like the Phoenix But time is too patient With this pain I'm forced to lay
