So beautiful as you rise

Shining as stars in my eyes

Not telling where you go

I catch you

Then let you go

Flying from forest to sea

I might see you flying past me

The sun goes down I wait outside

To see my friendly neighborhood firefly

Brightest in the sky

Dancing in the moonlight night

I watch as I cry

From this day of mine

I get bullied all the time

But your glow in the sky

Makes me happy every time

It is a beauty I cannot define

Your color is yours not mine

Hiding in the trees from me

Dancing so joyfully in the breeze

So many times, I had caught the firefly

Watching you up closely

You are tiny compared to me

I wished upon a star

For my little sister

Sitting on a piece of wood

My lover with me

We watched as you danced in the sky

So brightly in the night

Full moon appears you cannot hide

 Surrounding all our sides

I proposed to my future wife

She said YES!!

And I was all so satisfied

Thank you Firefly

For this future of mine

I caught you

You know that right

In the corner of my eye

Walking home at the dead of night

Seeing you so bright

It was quite a sight

Walking with my flat-tired bike

But not around your sight

Over the water shaping it

To you delight

Dancing all night

Wish I could do that to

Am I right

Flying over the water at the given time

Or is that just I

Thinking all the time

But I treasure this time

As a child says
