Waiting, waiting, for the fall of the blade,

just a chicken neck with nerves that are frayed

A concrete block hangs by a thread,

waiting to plummet, nails and glass make up your bed

Waiting for the hammer, so ready to fall,

totally indifferent to what you fear, at all

Threats are here and danger is there,

yet so many people seem so blissfully unaware

that up above them that blade is swinging,

watching and waiting to see what ‘fate’ is bringing.

Be ready to take shelter when that hammer starts to fall,

for if we are not ready it will bring the end to us all.
