Eagle Eyes

Not one moment is unseen.

Every moment an intricately woven mystery.

Seen through Your Eagle Eyes.

Nothing escapes Your Sight.

Pain and Happiness are almost all the same,

One remembered above the other,

Yet constantly we remember our shame.

We forget it is not our burden to carry,

The weight often gets too heavy to bear alone.

And we collapse under the load.

When we share our burdens,

When we choose to share our hearts,

We reach into eternity and fulfil a longing need.

A need we cannot meet on our own.

Our nature is to take it to the limit,

To strain ourselves beyond our own capacity.

We run when we are learning to crawl.

Yet nothing escapes Your Sight.

We are never out of view from Your Eagle Eyes.

The Lost sheep You Call Home,

A wayward son You run to meet.

Constantly You give Yourself,

Risking all, risking everything,

Even when Your Hand is smacked away,

You extend it again and again,

Until the Help You Give is received.

I am out of my depth,

In awe of a Majesty beyond that of this earth.

What King would Give His Only Son.

What King would Love this humble beggar like You do.

For I am a beggar in desperate need of Love.

You have said that I am Yours.

That nothing can take me out of Your Hands.

You breathe Life into long dead bones and they Live.

You command Life into these lungs and I breathe.

Surely I was dead, but You have made me alive.

I Look up and I see,

Eyes full of Love.

A Fury of Love I cannot describe.

I Look up into the blue of the night skies

And I see...

I see Your Eagle Eyes.
