I was definitey? cooking.

For the next few weeks I'd be doing this. It would be wonderful. I'd have followed my dreams, become famous, and several other things, and probably would have won the Nobel prize along the way, although such a prize's significance was probably little nowadays. I was ready to make history and revolutionize all techniques of power ever created. But things went wrong; really, really wrong for everyone.

I first tried getting a few flames running on different materials. I took these, and I got a result. I got the fastestrates using sugary hydrocarbons. That was good progress. Now, I wanted to try shifting the flames energy production mainly to some kind of different material. I took this fastfire, and I ran a few test using high temperature non-flammable materials. Using these materials, I was able to add what shall now remain a secret ingredient. Thsi secret recipe, this secret activater, this was my amazing breakthrough. I got a flame that obeyed differnet properties than flames.

My flame was able to sort of magnetize materials, and it loved to burn on titanium. It was fiercley good at unlocking energy, and my most effective containments were heavier metals and other forms of containment that I had at hand in my lab. Even these were starting to fail and I had to keep them up for almost most of my times. But I still got time for a good night's sleep most nights and to test new combinations. I kept updating Forester and some others on my progress, but they didn't get in on much of what was going on in my lab right then.

I was on a roll, and I had even added a few more ingredients to my recipe to make my fire even more reactive. At that point, if I had let the fire out of its containments, it probably would have leaped to conquer the world. I treated the matter jokingly at the time, but only later did I realize just how serious that that matter was. My fire got really out of hand, and I started preparing a whole bunch of precautions such as survival suits, expando-air-cushoins, and other heavy metal objects for that purpose. I also started paying for the shipping in of several litres of extra water and other anti-agents for my 'flames'.

By the time it was 5th March,2074, I was amuch older person than when I came up with the idea, but for my dream no amount of age or time would put me down. I kept going. That day, I experianced the second breakthrough; I managed to create a form of flame that was much more powerfu lthan any  of my 'hiccup' flames too. It wassome kind of sulfuric lithium and flourine compound, extreme reactivity, although when they blended together, they were just slightly decreased in their combined reactivity. I decided to throw something hard, like maybe a row down the periodic table, at my acid-sort of creation to see it do something to it.

I gave it some germanium, and it immediatleyc ate right through it! That was it, the ultimate creation, flame, fire; the thing that I had been striving towards so hard, finally achieved after so many hard yerars of work. Yes! At long, long last! But as I slept that night, somthing was definitley wrong with my lab, and my gut could definitley tell me something. Night passed by, and instead of my usual alarm clock, I awoke to an EMERGENCY ALERT! That was wired up for incase any specimens escaped. That could have been one of the several smaller specimens, all the way until the power meter on the thing went up and up and up till the energies were so high that no doubt, the worst had been unleashed, my fire had escaped. That meant that I had a few minutes to get myself pulled up.

I got up and ran as fast as I could, but I knew that there was definitley not going to be an easy way out. I luckily had a lot of doomsday preperation tools at hand at my house, and so I stuffed my hover-bike with some large bunch of stuff before lumbering the thing out and away. I could see a line forming on the horizon. It was a good thing that I had a suit thermo-pyro-regulator on the suit which I had designed. I desperately rammed at the starter paddles and switches and locks to start up the machine before the flame could reach. The sky seemed to be dancing with bright, fast-approaching flames of blue, and so I jumped in my hover-bike and flew away, off towarn whoever I could far off and away.
