A A A

We duck our heads and hide our smiles,
Shove the things we love into piles.
We wipe our tears and cover our pain,
Pull our sleeves over the blood that stains.
Let nobody in, let nobody see.
But when everyone is watching your life for free,
Breaking down is an easy possibility.
We shorten our thoughts to just abbreviations,
Nothing stems from our relations.
We are oppressed and abused,
All of us misused.
We are forced to fight together,
But left alone to fight the weather.
Betrayal from our families we face,
As we all fall from grace.
Our society is severely broken,
And otherwise has never been honestly spoken.
These words I have carefully planned,
In hopes that someone will understand.
Our society was predicted from the start,
And the only way to change it is a change of heart.
