Think I’m On The Verge...

I think I’m on the verge of a nervous breakdown --

so many things are piling up I’ve lost all track of me.

The fact that I am struggling

is very clear to see.

Coping’s kind of hard to do

my temper, it’s sure frayed;

each and every single thing,

my mind, it does abrade.

My responses, they’re all out of synch,

reactions so erratic;

all my thoughts are jumbled up

and riddled with such static.

My hands, they won’t stop shaking

and I’m feeling oh, so sick;

just trying to find an answer

means to dredge through sludge so thick.

There’s pressure here, there’s pressure there,

my balance is sure to flee

and bring about a plummet

to the rag-doll that is me.

My mind can’t take much more of this,

I thought that life was give-and-take;

a spectacular delusion

that causes my whole mind to break.

Better the insanity,

better madness too;

I’ll pull back from reality

and conjure up my view.

I may not know exactly how you feel, but I feel the same, in my own way.
The rocks piled up, I tried to carry them away one by one, however more took their place, doubling in weight and before I knew it, I had become buried alive in the exponential avalanche, of everything.
Just know I can relate.
I'm here for you, too !

I know you have commitments you cannot break; people who depend on you, but it sounds like now more than ever you need to take more time for yourself. Seriously, look into meditation - something you can do every day for a few minutes or an hour if you need it; consider taking a day trip somewhere to break the daily monotony - though, I know that's not a doable option at this time with the weather; consider talking to someone who can help ease your stress.
There are many options out there to help yourself. This isn't something you should ignore any longer if it's escalated to a physical impact on your body. I'm really worried for you, Hully.

I'll cope, Jeff. I always beat off 'the bad' sooner or later.
Thanks for reading; and thanks for caring, too.

Well, Tom, same here. But writing is so much -- we can put anything in to it and I guess that's how we manage to carry on.
Thanks so much for reading and taking the time to comment.
