Sitting in a Cell
Just waiting in the classroom, waiting patiently
Just waiting for the bell to give a little ring
Waiting hungrily for the day to finally end
and wanting desperately for freedom to begin
Just waiting for the bell to give a little ring
Convicts trail around their cells
Wanting desperately for freedom to begin
They dream about their freedom
Just waiting in the classroom, waiting patiently
but they don’t ever get a chance to frolic and play
they want it to stop they want it to end
and wanting desperately for freedom to begin
The day is over, they can now frolic and play
but tomorrow they have to go back for another day
so they lay down to sleep and dream about tomorrow
Just waiting in the classroom, just sitting in a cell
