As a kid growing up in the 70's, I remember how scared of, and distrustful of, the entire country was of the monstrosity known as The Soviet Union. True, it's gone the way of the Dodo bird, but there's still those Russians who would like nothing better than a return to those long-ago days of perceived power. Namely, one Vladimir Putin governs like the Soviet Union is nothing but a fond memory. And now it's more than a suspicion that Russia hacked, is still hacking, our elections. Yet, most on the right are indifferent at best, treasonous at worst, about the fact that a foreign power is meddling in our democracy.

I think what they would be screaming if President Obama had done what Trump's doing, ignoring it. he fact that some of us aren't demanding we get to the bottom of it, and take immediate action to prevent it from happening again, blows my mind. I get why the right wants to do nothing to upset Trump's apple cart, but this shouldn't be a partisan issue. This should be an American issue--it's shows me just how wide the political gap has gotten, and bodes ill for the future.
