Measles

Total darkness once again,

the sky, it’s really black;

tonight there’s something going on --

just like some strange attack.

The stars, they’re sprinkled everywhere,

I really don’t know why;

I can’t help thinking seriously

that there’s measles in the sky.

The rash of lights, it’s sure extensive,

the entire sky seems covered,

as though a viral outbreak,

the atmosphere, has smothered.

Maybe the aliens have landed

or the stars are all at play;

it could be that endless night --

 we’ll not see another day.
