Seeing one's face in the mirror shouldn't be a painful experience.

The mirror reflects only what it is shown.

I stare at my reflection.

Scars, pimples, dents and blemishes.

I don’t feel anything anymore.

No shame, no disgust, no pride.

They’re simply there.

How the world sees me is up to me.

I don’t have faults anymore.

Concealer, foundation and poise.

The world only sees what I show it.

Skipping, strutting, marching.

I’m simply here.
