Wedding Day
The day has come,
A day hoped for by many for so long.
At the altar the bride waits,
For the groom has come.
Bells are ringing, trumpets are sounding
And all of heaven rejoices.
The streets of gold shine like they have never before,
Jasper and carnelian, diamonds and rubies,
Adorn the temple walls.
The Cherubim blows their trumpets,
Seraphim line the aisle.
For the Father waits with the bride
And the Holy Spirit hovers all around.
Twelve men walk with the groom down the aisle,
Heaven roars and applauds.
Holy, Holy, Holy, Is the Lord God Almighty,
Who was and is and is to come.
The four beasts of heaven sing consistently.
A sound rises from the East,
Songs are sung in the West.
For the marriage supper of the Lamb has begun.
Every knee is bowed,
Every tongue has confessed;
Worthy is the Lamb that was slain,
Who died and rose to Life again.
