Law of Gravity

Poem by: Melancholic Wisdom
What goes up, must come down,
Written down as the laws of gravity.
Come a long way, from running in the playground,
To being on the brink of insanity.
It’s a long way down, from up in the clouds,
The higher you get, the further you’ll fall.
Never gonna be sober, never again,
Trynna be numb, trynna dull the pain.
Emotions are deep, like the Marianas Trench,
It comes in waves, that leave you drenched.
Hits harder than a damn tsunami,
Drugs in my bloodstream, let’s get naughty.
Hurt hard and love hard, that’s the motto,
Blowing smoke like they do in Colorado.
Adrenaline pumping, it’s so intense,
All of these feelings make no sense.
Deep and complex, like a physics text,
Never know what’s about to come next.
Flipping through moods like a magazine,
Haven’t been right since age eighteen.
Round hole with a square peg, atypical,
Talk it, but don’t walk it, hypocritical.
What goes up, must come down,
Written down as the laws of gravity.
Come a long way, from running in the playground,
To being on the brink of insanity.
It’s a long way down, from up in the clouds,
The higher you get, the further you’ll fall.
