Observations

He sits in his observatory

To view the universe.

He fills his telescope with morphine

To view the warmth.

When he was a child

He would lay in bed,

And observe the fairydust.

The swirl of minute particles

Of dust,

Of colour,

Facing him in the darkness.

On the wall

Was a photograph of his dead grandmother,

In the darkness, her face,

A mask that transformed

Into other grotesque masks,

A primitive woman,

A strangler,

An intruder,

A spider woman,

A witch,

The phallic mother,

The Whore of Babylon,

A murdress,

A ghost

Woman.
