Earlier today, I posted like a whiny bitch that I'd lost trust in the voting electorates' smarts-o-meter. What I should have said is I worry stupid is driving the bus. I know there's plenty of us who are appalled at what's happened to our country, but I worry that our concerned and thoughtful voices will be drown out by the screaming hatred and bigotry voices in control right now. They're like the distant relative who comes for a visit and winds up moving into your basement, won't leave, and threatens to burn the house down if you try to make them go. You might as well boot their ass, 'cause they're destroying it anyway. So, those of us who feel strongly we're headed in the wrong direction need to band together so our voices can't be drown out and 'Make America Great Again,' by telling drunk third cousin Harlan to pack up and get the hell out. There seems to be a war against the educated by the forces of idiot, and it's a war we HAVE to win, for the sake of thinkers everywhere.
