Morgan Rielly, (above), got three assists in last night's 5-2 win.


It is unbelievable, but tblehe Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the best team in the National Hockey League last night.

Having Auston Matthews in the lineup last night didn't hurt the Leafs either.

The Leafs defeated the Nashville Predators, a team that's first in the Western Conference, 5-2 last night.

Leaf's defenseman, Morgan Rielly, finished the night with three assists.

James Van Riemsdyk continues to produce offensively for the Leafs as he scored the lone goal of the first period.

Viktor Arvidsson tied the game at 5:42 of the second period,

It was all Toronto from there.

Matthews scored the go ahead goal for the Leafs at 15:06.

Over a minute later,William Nylander made it 3-1 Leafs.

Just nine seconds into the third period, Mitch Marner made it 4-1 on the power play.

Jake Gardiner made it 5-1 at 3:39.

Scott Hartnell scored Nashville's second goal at 15:37.

Toronto hosts the Detroit Red Wings tomorrow night.
