I'm home alone one night, it's almost 2 am.

I hear a strange sound that sounds like a door knob opening.

I run to the back of my house in horror as the back door was opening up on its own. The Knob was twisting around.

I watched as the door had begun to slightly open up. I grab the door knob and slam the door shut and I hold on to the door with all my might.

I take a few deep breaths. Keeping my composer because my little brother was sleeping upstairs. But an intruder was trying to break into our house.

My parents wouldn't be home till morning. I take a couple more deep breaths and then I look out the window. I see nothing in the pitch black darkness. But then something catches my eyes.

I see what looks like red eyes in the distance staring at me. I gather up enough courage to race to the phone in the next room from me and I run back and hold down the door. I dial "911" and tell the officer who answered what was going on. "I'm sending a squad car over"

"thank you" I say. A few minutes later the police arrived. I told them everything that happened. The officer had a worried look in her face. That description matches "Mark Stoffman to a T"

"Who's Mark Stoffman?" I ask the police women.

"He's a dangerous burglar, he escaped from prison just two nights ago. His nickname is "the silent killer" he sneaks into people's homes and murders them and then robs them blind. Your very lucky you heard him."

The police searched and searched,  Mark Stoffman was long gone.
