You seem so sad today, why’s that so?

Your face’s fallen and mood is low

May I come to your garden and give you a rose?

I know I’m not like the one who’s to you so close!

You seem weary, weary of what I don’t know

Your cheeks are drawn and eyes are yellow

May I cup your face and give you a sweet hug?

The one that’s gentle, secure and snug!

What is this dejection, I cannot bear

This expression I would never allow you wear

May I come and lighten up your mood?

I swear it won’t stretch nor will it protrude!

Is that a mood swing or you don’t want me there?

You know everything; why do I ask, why do I care

So may I offer you my shoulder to tender your head on?

Oh say yes, where you have gone!

I just hate seeing you cry

It agonizes my earth and even haunts the sky

May I come and wipe your tears, my sweetheart?

I promise I won’t ever let us get apart!

Why’s this happening, am I responsible, my friend?

I wish I would rather die, my life would end!

May you come and yank this floating breath?

It should stop beating and meet its death!

You went saying I’m not best for you

I understood all, and didn’t argue!

Be it this world or countless others, I tell you what’s true

From affection to rejection- I’ll always be with you…!

Like the most beautiful thing ever written. I am bedazzled by this, and find it so touching and moving. A haunting presence between your words and rhymes, but not like a ghost. It shows a person once a lover now a friend, but you can still be there no matter what, because love can exist through anything. "May I come to your garden and give you a rose" is so passionate, because that garden is Eden between two people, and it is so heartfelt. Going from affection to rejection is difficult, yet always being there for a person is what keeps the garden alive, because love can stay between two people, regardless of affection or rejection. Some of your lines are the most beautiful you have ever wrote, and when you find affection, I hope you never find rejection. I really want to decipher each line, but this comment will end up being a book, so I'll keep it short :) This poem shows that if the love is still there, then affection departing from former lovers is not rejection, it is two people on a new plane, because being by someone always is real life, and not a word. I love the last line "from affection to rejection - I'll always be with you...." because it has more meaning and care, and it's why people can last forever with a different affection, one that contains no rejection. Rehmat I hope love never rejects you, because I never will, and I'll always be with you. This poem is staying on my heart, it's beautiful, a masterpiece of written poetry, and I'll keep you in my heart too :)

The distance between two people may only be a couple feet, but it can feel like endless kilometres when one pushes the other away. Your words beautifully express the sorrow of rejection, and that concern that will never flee when someone cares for another. Well done!
