GH2

GH2 had a problem. A very big problem, actually; he had lost his head. Literally!

His programming told him that he was a completely self-maintaining model. Any problem that could possibly effect how he worked, he had the ability to solve. It was all there in his internal maintenance manual.

Hand not working, foot tapping, turning but not turning back.....no problem. He could fix himself as easy as blinking. But being headless was definitely posing more of a problem. He could see his hand, easily; he knew where his head sat too. But trying to put the two bits of information together was proving to be very, very difficult.

He watched as his hand groped towards his head, making his fingers grab, but somehow they kept missing. Perhaps getting his body to manoeuvre it’s way to his head would work better. Whatever way he went at it he found it all so humiliating.

Finally his head rested back on his shoulders. A couple of bolts and all would be well, once more. Trying to get the first bolt in was fiddly; his head slipped and there was another struggle to get it back in to place. Once the first bolt was slipped in and tightened things became much easier. The second one was more to keep things straight and aligned.

There, done! Perfect. Errr, no! His feet were out of sight, his arms worked backwards. He’d really gone and done it this time, putting his head on back to front. If only he could have seen what he was doing!
