Nazem Kadri was the hero as he scored the winning goal for the Toronto Maple Leafs in a 4-3 win over the Detroit Red Wings.

Kasperi Kapanen scored the lone goal in the first period.

Detroit went ahead 2-1 in the second period with goals by Dylan Larkin and Tyler Bertuzzi.

Connor Brown tied it up 2-2 at 14:19 of the second period.

Frans Nielsen put the Wings ahead again at 4:58 of the third period.

William Nylander tied the game at 7:27.

Kadri put the Leafs ahead for good at 12:34.

Leaf's goalie, Frederik Andersen made 38 saves last night.

Toronto hosts the Buffalo Sabres tomorrow night.
