Remembering your smile, the times when I meant something to you, the times you said you love me. Remembering the little red car you got me for my birthday. You were always my number one. I didn't care about the million punishments that I didn't deserve, or the alcohol and cigar smells on you, I didn't care about the endless men inside your bed. I didn't care that I wasn't your favorite anymore. I always loved you, but then you left. You wanted to take me with you, and I still remember the words you said. You said, you would take me to a better place, to a place where there is no pain nor sorrows – but you left me alone in this cruel world, chasing all these shadows. Why did you go? There are so many things I'd like to show you. Sometimes I wonder, would you be proud of me and the man I have become?

I miss you, still! With love, your beloved son!
