The adverse effect on moral was high when it was discovered that the machines were almost on top of the base. Many a man ill and worried now as the rest of humanity flee the planet. It was never understood why they turned from their programming but once they marched against humans they could not be stopped.

They launched many an assault on our cities and our bases many of the human devices fail to work and the panic though fear was immense that first night. When seemingly out of nowhere the first wave of machines rose. The army was called in with a full tactical response. Firmly and swiftly the machines rose too and met those who dared to fight. And quickly put an end to the dissent.

It soon seemed impossible to deal with, the now dominant force that the machines had brought against us. But as all things come to an end the heart of the people grew weak and the defeat of the military came all but too quick. Impossible that our military could be so soundly defeated some thought. And others still think that no such defeat could occur to such a well trained army.

Well there is some ways that the army had became stale relying to much on the technology that has now turned on against them. Machines know machines better than humans these days. This is how the machines have turned our own might against us, Very little can be done now as the machines have turned from the military to the populace they seek nothing but our destruction it seems. They blast us day and night they have seemingly no remorse and nothing to want to stop for.

The last of the humans on earth now they hide under the ground. No more starships to flea on no more will to fight back there survival reliant on the primitive machines made before the intelligence with infused along with water springs from deep within the earth. Meanwhile on the surface unbeknown to anyone the machines were busy building who knows what but immense scale it had. Maybe they now look to the stars.
