I know : a short reylo story

As resistance ground forces dwindle and first order troops have almost won their first victory against the resistance. Clocked kylo ren emerges from his tie silencer, Rey Lock’s onto bens cold, empty eyes. It’s like her nightmares. she is so dazed by his sudden arrival that she losses focus and is stuck in the chest by a burning sensation. She’s been shot. She stumbles to the ground. 

Gasping for air she comes too and she sees the fiery blade of kylo Rens lightsaber. He’s come to save her. ‘Rey’ he sounds panicked and afraid, ‘hold on, I’ll help you.’ He continues to fight his own troops who are now aiming at him. Rey’s vision is blurry but she stands and welds her lightsaber it’s blue glow illuminating her face. As Rey and Ben fight side by side, it reminds her of the throne room. When Ben betrayed his master for her. She’s not fighting like she normally does.  She’s weaker and there’s something else. Fear runs through her blood. Then she is shot again. She collapses and her vision becomes blurry. She sees the red glow of Bens lightsaber deflecting lasers until everything turns black.

Ben rushes to her side and lifts her head into his knees. ‘Rey! Please, wake up!’ He says with tears of anger, fear and love falling from his eyes. ‘Please don’t leave me, I can’t live without you’. Ben, the boy behind the mask had finally come back to the light. The scavenger opened his heart and showed him compassion and love. The fighting stops from both sides when they see what’s happening. Shocked they watch in awe as they see hate flash through the young boys eyes.

Realising Rey was gone Ben felt something inside him. A familiar feeling. A fury reawakens inside him. He stands and ignites his lightsaber and charged at the remaining troops and slaughtered them with a simple stroke. He returns to Rey’s side and whispers into her ear. ‘I love you’ he then kisses her before he holds her limp body to his chest and ignites his lightsaber through their chests. As Rey takes her final breath she whispers back to Ben, ‘I know’.
