The broken spell of sleep brought me a dream
Dreamy, pure and clear as water in a pious stream
The world I saw was nonviolent and kind
Gentle caress of peace it sent to my mind
There I saw spirits raised up above the zeal so high
I witnessed souls and angels circle the sky
No hate and envy, so serene was it in vision
Black, brown, skin akin, humanity sans division
Could there ever be peace to find,
Or would it only be castles in air, in mere states of mind?

Thu, April 5th, 2018 8:45pmIt's like the beautiful dream that we wish the world could be. I think when we have those dreams, it's the only time we get a beautiful sleep. Your dream scape imagery is pure and tranquil, and it gives your words and rhymes that soft sirene feel that is almost ethereal. You just write the most beautiful, and when you have this dream, I'll guard your bedroom door so that no one can disturb you. Your writing puts a smile on my face, and even though I am a tortured soul, your poetry becomes my dream of a better place. Beautiful dearest, and keep searching for that perfect dream Rehmat :)
