I will be free; at least today,

Everything will go my way.

And all the tears that I have shed,

On my pillow and on my bed.

Will be forgotten for a while,

Because today I deserve to smile.

How I’ve suffered undeniably,

I’m 27 only physically.

My mind’s much older as you can see,

A vintage soul that I’ll set free.

And the drama of my troubled past,

A halt today to that at last.

My fragile heart will not feel fear,

Not one more day or one more year.

This is the vow that I will make,

While I indulge in birthday cake.
