Closet hinge of midnight black

heart kept inside a room of tacks.

In the dark are skeletons

and they can't speak of where I've been .

The fruit's consumed by the past

catching sleight from Eve's outcast.

Silver street in a town of gold

travel lightly , the bricks are mold .

I remember

I remember

I remember

When it was new .

I still love

I still love

I still love

do you ?

Oak heart letters , the youth of age

the forest had witnessed the carver's pain.

A million eyes conceived in sinch

first kiss of lies tasted from their lips .

An auburn sky behind a thunderstorm

an ugly mask on face of scorn .

I remember

I remember

I remember

When it was new.

I still love

I still love

I still love

do you ?

The pause refrain of what we've sought

steals and derails my train of thought.

Behind the closet hinge of midnight black

are skeletons that follow

and leach to my back .

A blistered sky casts the dead end

and blinds the sun when the moon's in crash.

Closet sorrow in pale offense

Forget the ashes of the torched key at last.

I remember

I remember

I remember

When it was new .

I still love

I still love

I still love

do you?
