WAR, WAR, WAR

War, war, war,

Death, death, death,

Never ending pain I see,

The world doth writhe and scream

Governments care not for truth,

They serve their whims and aims,

The poor the innocent, they die,

While silence covers all

The media blares its’ slanted views,

To keep the people blind,

While truth is lies, and lies are truth,

Confusion everywhere

Money rues, the corporate greed,

Politicians dance with glee,

Bombs they fail in toxic rain

While dollars hurtle in

Refugees the world’s new norm,

A bane to all it seems,

Less than human, cursed by all,

They trudge from place to place

War the all in all it seems,

It never saves the day,

The answer is not killing more,

And causing more to flee

The only use that this all brings,

Profit, power, and death,

The war makers bathe in showers of gold,

While victims swim in blood

Politicians sit on gilded thrones,

Built on the blood and gore,

Shielded from reality,

They smile and carry on

‘Ever learning, but never coming to the knowledge of the truth’
