The Toronto Maple Leafs got the win the team desparately needed last night after going down 2-0 in the best of seven series to the Boston Bruins.

Patrick Marleau scored two goals for Toronto in a 4-2 Leaf's win to cut the series in half 2-1.

James Van Riemsdyk opened the scoring for the Leafs at 17:05 of the first period.

Adam McQuaid tied the game at 3:06 of the second period.

43 seconds later, Marleau put the Leafs ahead 2-1.

Zdeno Chara scored on a bad angle shot at 6:19 to tie the game 2-2.

Auston Matthews put the Leafs ahead again at 14:47.

Marleau got the reasuring goal at 16:25 of the third period.

Boston's Sean Kuraly had two assists.

Leaf's Mitch Marner and Morgan Rielly also had two assists in last night's game.

Leaf's goalie, Frederik Andersen, was spectacular in net, stopping 40 shots.

Game Four is on Thursday night at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto
