The Toronto Blue Jays and the Kansas City Royals played a double header yesterday.
The Jays won both games.
11-3 in the first game and 5-4 in extra innings in the second.
Yangervis Solarte kicked things off in the first game by hitting a two run homer in the opening inning.
Down 2-1, Mike Moustakas tied the game by hitting a solo home run at the top of the third inning.
Later in the inning, the Royals went ahead 3-2 when Lucas Duda hit a solo home run.
The Jays had a big inning in the fifth.
First, Steve Pearce drove in Randal Grichuck with a single.
Justin Smoak drove in Pearce with a single.
Finally in the fifth inning, Solarte drove in Teoscar Hernandez with a single.
In the bottom of the eighth inning, Grichuk hit a three run homer to make it 8-3 for Toronto.
The Jays scored two more runs in the eighth inning.
Luke Maile had three RBIs in the second game.
In the second game, the Royals went ahead 3-0 at the top of the sixth inning.
Luke Maile closed the gap to 3-2 in the bottom of the seventh inning by driving in Kevin Pillar and Aledmys Diaz with a single.
Grichuk scored the tying run on a infield hit by Devon Travis.
The Jays went ahead 4-3 when Pearce drove in Maile with a single.
Alcides Escobar tied the game at the top of the eighth inning with a solo home run.
Maile drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning with a RBI single.
Maile went two for four at the plate and collected three RBIs.
