Setting Sun
Just above the ocean,
there overhangs a tree
and as the sun is setting
it is the place for me.
I fixed it up and sorted it,
a swing where I can sit
and watch the sky become
in such deep yellow lit.
I can stay there watching,
the multi-colored hues,
thinking many thoughts that
always make their way to you.
The yellow slowly fades away,
the sun bows to the moon,
telling all the world that
the night will be here soon.
I’ll scramble down the branches,
leave aside my swing,
but it won’t bring me sadness
because here is the thing;
those dreams of mine will still be yours,
you’ll stay inside my mind,
the silver moon as magic
as the sunset I do find.
