Romance is dead. There, I said it. If you are actually one of those people that think otherwise then I truly feel sorry for you. That just means you are completely naive, but to each to their own. We are all entitled to our own beliefs. These days everyone is tweeting, and twating, and LOL this  and LMAO that. There is absolutely no substance in meeting a man or a woman anymore, instead it’s all about exchanging Snapchat usernames and lets add each other on Facebook and see if we hit it off. We use every social media platform as a way to hide ourselves in the hopes of impressing someone. What the actual fuck??? Don’t get me wrong I love the fact that if I want a pizza at midnight after a night out I can pull out my phone and order it straight from the app and its then I receive instant gratification. Technology has made us all lazy, how so? Remember the golden days of meeting a man or a woman at the local supermarket or book store? Those days are LONG gone, it's like a lost art, really. The sad thing is that this is exactly the kind of behavior we are leaving behind for the younger generations to come, and that is exactly what scares the shit out of me. Don’t even get me started at the prospect of trying to actually meet someone. It is absolutely terrifying, most people these days are subjected to online dating because they are too busy working fifty plus hours a week just to make ends meet in some shitty apartment. So we all take risks into meeting someone just hoping they aren’t fit for a straight jacket. And then, and just then when do let that person in and allow them to get close it goes straight to hell. Maybe they found out about something about that person that they don't like which essentially causes  that person to run. And what does that lead to? Utter fucking disappointment. This is exactly what social media platforms have done to relationships, and romance and everything in between. I miss the days when a man and woman exchanged telephone numbers and stayed up all night talking to each other. There were talks about goals, and passions, and beliefs, and weather, and food, and hobbies, and art.
