“We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”

‘Moving Forward’ something we have all heard before, it’s easier said than done. At some point, many of us have faced a setback or disappointment which leaves us feeling as if we can’t move forward. Nobody likes to face struggles or challenges and if we had the choice to have an easy life, we would all take it! The reality is, life is not that simple. There may be times where we face unfortunate circumstances that are not in our control.

You may have had a disappointment career wise, in a relationship, in a sporting event or even in a person that may have let you down. These are all circumstances which can leave you asking yourself “Why me?, What did I do to deserve this?” You have done nothing, it’s just the unfortunate realities of life that hurt but also make us stronger. Not necessarily everything that feels like a disappointment will be in the long run.

You may not have got the job you wanted, a better one is on the horizon. You may have been let down by someone, you may be better off moving forward without them. You may have got the luck you needed not have progressed to the next level of you career straight away, but you’re stronger and will get there in the long run. One door closes but another door opens. Most of the time, the way we can move forward depends on us.

Dwelling on past mistakes and failures, only prevents us from moving onto better things. Choose to give yourself the best chance today, by having a positive mindest. It may be tough, but you’re tougher.
