I had the privilege of attending the  New Directions in Social Cognition Research at Bilkent University, Main Campus, FFB Building April 7-8, 2018 . It was a fine  opportunity to catch up with some current thinking and trends within my field any beyond. Meeting people all over the world and attending the gathering did spark me with many questions and set me for many researches on my list. That is why I did think to write this short paper about English for Academic Purposes (EAP). EAP is indeed an interesting field to cover, discuss or even research on. One of the books that I find important to read and talk about is "The Routledge Handbook of English for Academic Purposes Ken Hyland, Philip Shaw". This forty four chapter book does offer eight organized sections which did enrich and provide me with reachable notes, fine guidelines, to English for Academic Purposes (EAP) as it did cover core theories , approaches, notions, terminologies, skills, genres, contexts, and perspectives. within the vast filed applied linguistic
