Grief
When our Love is lost,
When a person fades away.
The Death of a friend or Loved one,
Changes our colourful world to that of Grey.
No words to describe,
Just the dull and empty ache,
But for how long do we grieve,
How long do we mourn the pain?
Comfort comes in the morning,
Tears wash away heartache and joy is what remains.
But for some the pain remains,
Pain over words never said
And Love that was not allowed a way.
So what do we say?
Do we sit in the silence
Or are we searching for another way.
We are finite.
We end.
That is our beauty,
It is a part of our Grace.
Like a whisper on the wind,
So is the span of our lives.
There are so few who realise,
Death is but a door to pass through.
I wonder if we trust in the unseen,
Hoping for what awaits us on the other side,
Or are we living lives of regret,
Lives that are not worthy in our sight.
I guess depression is cured,
Not through meds,
But through constant Love and reassurance.
Those who Love us just standing by our side.
Nights are dark in the winter time,
But the stars in the sky shine bright
And I wonder if those stars,
Are a representation of the thoughts of Love,
That God constantly has towards us.
Because Truly, even if we do mind,
God still Loves us
And walks with us down the line,
To the end and beyond,
Far beyond the edge of our sight...
