The reaction of the public towards the invasion of their country

Unlike the Catholic Irish who attacked the Armada Catholic sailors when they landed on their bay, an odd portrait of a small group near the entrance of the church saluted, greeted, and threw flowers towards the invading tanks as if they hail champions.

The soldier on the rotating turret of the first approaching tank smiled and waved back to them, but when he turned his face to his right he saw an angry crowd shouting, cursing, and spitting at the tanks.

The soldier was confused, alerted and held on tight to his machine gun, moving it toward them, ready to fire,  but his tank kept moving, followed by another tank and another and another. The angry crowds crossed the road to the waving group but they fled inside the church…
