A Moment’s Silence

Join with me,

a moment’s silence

for the victims

of such mindless violence.

Vehicles turned

into effective arms,

so easy to accomplish

large-scale harm.

Side-walk strolling,

you should not get

the feeling that

you’re under threat.

Faceless victims,

happen-stance,

killed with no mercy,

just from chance.

Every time

an engine roar,

scared of knowing

what’s the score.

Pedestrians ploughed

into the ground,

who they are

and how they’re found

seems so fluky,

mindless violence;

join me in

a moment’s silence.
